Mik.Musik.!.'s bestseller available again! Is here after the long break. So we are glad. After some years passed since its original release this music gets more strength. We see it now as the one of the most crazy and freaky records of polish fonographic sphere ever. It's the mix of everything with everything. Electronics with acoustics, composition with deconstruction, joy with sadness, inteligence with ambivalence, told with unspoken, careless with carefull, less with full. We try to be objective, it is possible from a such distance. Full of subjectivism.
Today we don't remember why we titled this album BOAZERIA. Maybe because of strange sounding of this word, maybe because conotations with exotic wood (from ecological plantations clear!).
Polish word BOAZERIA could be translated into english in many ways, what is kinda funny:
dado, panelling, wainscot:
"panel forming the lower part of an interior wall when it is finished differently from the rest", "Music soundeth better in chambers wainscoted than hanged. --Bacon. [1913 Webster]", "decorate with panels; "panel the walls with wood"", "sheet that forms a distinct (usually flat) section or component of something", "In any wall, that part of the basement included between the base and the base course. See Base course, under Base.", "a rectangular groove cut into a board so that another piece can fit into it", "provide with a dado; "The owners wanted to dado their dining room". And so on, you catch it.
Nature connected with technology, endless curiosity connected with reason. Mind with mindless.
Mass of currents, embroidery of sonorities (uh, another strange home-crafts term?).
Various subjects going all at once. In real-time. Like in THE NATURE, which we wanted with this music to touch as close, as possible. But our intend was also to have thing amusing, to build entertainment, to rock the house. To communicate.
Many styles, which passed in, by, and on since its original release, helped BOAZERIA to be understood better now - abstract hiphop, weird folk, bastard-pop, revivals and nojazz improvisation - such lessons were widely and wildly taken. Have we been visionaries? Futurologists? Whatever, anyway, somehow, who knows.
Boazeria will catch some new breath now. Can be magnetic, bioenergotherapic, relaxing. Usefull in aromatherapy. But it can't be a tapestry background muzak, it is definitely too much absorbing, can be unnerving and annoying. But if you caress this music well, it will pleasantly hit you back with its warmth, urgh, volcanic heat.
In one review, our favourite, on BBCi internet site it was said: "more power to these people!". Yeah, we agree. Even if mostly we look for this power inside ourselves. But, good interior design is always welcome, and sometimes needs good BOAZERIA to have. Mo³r Drammaz products you can buy in completely other kind of shops, but, anyway, we recommend.
